Basic Slime Recipe

Slime is the colorful gooey stuff that all kids love to play with. It can be in various colors like green, violet, pink, blue, yellow, black, and more! Do you want to make your own slime? KidZyz has got your back! Here is the easy recipe for basic slime that you can do at home or at school. You don’t have to worry if you run out of slime because this recipe is simple and easy to do wherever you are! Have fun with slime! Read on.
What you need?
  • Elmer’s white glue 225g
  • Food colour of your choice
  • Borax 15g
  • Water 470ml
HOW

Combine borax with 235 ml water until dissolved. In a separate bowl, combine the glue, food colour and 235ml water. Mix well and now slowly add the borax mixture. Knead well with two hands until you are happy with the texture.

STORAGE

Upto one month if stored in a air-tight container or Ziplock after every use. Can be stored longer if refrigerated. .

TIPS

Instead of kneading, add the final mixture in a container, shake vigorously until the slime is formed. This will take about 5 mins.

Use Elmer’s clear glue for a transparent slime.
